THE iNDiE MACHiNE is currently looking for music-loving writers, photographers, content editors, promoters, and administrative fiends to expand our coverage of the Canadian and international music scenes as part of our ongoing attempt to bring readers, listeners, and viewers the best of today’s contemporary rock music … (and as part of our not-so-subtle attempt at world domination).

While we can’t pay you in money at this stage in the game, we CAN get you into most live shows these days pro-bono for interviews, reviews and photography, or get you some free band swag and music for reviewing albums, promoting, or helping out in some other capacity.

If you think you’ve got some writing chops or a great eye for photography, drop us a line with the contact form to the right. Likewise – if you’re a music aficionado that can’t write or shoot photos, but is a promotional monster we still want to hear from you! Please send us links to some of your previous work – published or unpublished – so long as we can tell whether you can coherently string together words in the English language, shoot a decent photo, or you know… prove that you not craaaaaaaazy.

Photographers must have their own photo gear (must be SLR of some sort), so please include your gear specs as well as part of your submission.

Internships:

The iM also offers an internship program for student credit – if you’re in a media, marketing, or events program and are looking to fulfill your hours and don’t mind working at night (since that’s when most concerts take place), or from home rather than an office (since we don’t currently have one), and have a ridiculous love for all sorts of rock music, drop us a line and we’ll see if we can help!
