UK electronic music producer Gold Panda’s debut album will be released October 12th via Ghostly International. The album will be titled ‘Lucky Shiner’. Tricky has a new LP, ‘Mixed Race’ coming out September 27th via Domino Records. He has described it as “the most untempo album I’ve ever done”. If the first single, ‘Murder Weapon’ is any indication then were in for something very different indeed. The song is actually a rework of a classic dancehall track. The Joy Formidable announced today that they will be hitting North American shores in November. The band plays the Horseshoe Tavern here in Toronto on the 3rd. Their debut (mini) album, ‘A Balloon Called Moaning’ has been out since last year in the UK but was just released in North America in May via Black Bell Records. If I told you I can’t get enough of the Young Empires, that would be the understatement of the year. The band has just premiered the video for their latest song White Doves over at NME. Ten Bears hail from Manchester UK. The band recently released their debut single, ‘Braces’ on East City Records. Their catchy brand of indie synth-pop is not going unnoticed. The band has already played Glastonbury, SXSW and this years NXNE festival here in Toronto. All this and they have yet to release an album. Keep an eye on these guys, I expect good things to come. The Klaxons have recently debuted a brand new video for the song ‘Echoes’ via Pitchfork Media. The band is set to release their sophomore album ‘Surfing The Void’ August 23rd in the UK.
