by David on Aug.16, 2010, under News
Toronto indie rockers ‘The Golden Dogs’ have a new album out and I have a confession to make. I’ve had ‘Coat Of Arms’ for just under 3 weeks now and until tonight I had not listened to any of it. What the hell was I thinking? This album is chock-full of incredible songs. Two and a half weeks of my life that I could have spent listening to this sucker. Head over to Nevado to buy the LP. That’s what hunters do….no seriously….kill deer. It’s also the name of a North American bird. It’s kinda brown and has spots, quite dissimilar from the two ladies of Kildear though. Check out “Seeds” and “Slippery Elm” – birds don’t make songs like this. Kildear on Myspace.

THE CITY STREETS – WIRED: EPISODE 21
by David on Aug.07, 2010, under Music Videos, News
Relocating The City Streets of Montreal to Toronto – even for a temporary stint/visit – is just hard….I mean, the physical layout of the two cities just isn’t even comparable – one of them is like a “T” and the other is like a circle – and then the transit system on those streets in one city kinda sucks. Wait, what? They’re a band? Oh! My bad….I was starting to think I was gonna have to start explaining the intricacies of urban development. We caught up with the Edmonton/Montreal pop rock trio at The Bovine Sex Club this week. Check out their rockin’ tracks “All Is Grace” and “Mastodon”. The City Streets on Myspace.
