The iM spends alot of time promoting up and coming artists in the Canadian music scene. Jacking more power into a machine requires a little effort and ingenuity…especially when using it on location. The more you hook up the more awesome it becomes….the same thing happened when Girl + The Machine stopped by The Indie Machine: it was an unstoppable flurry of mechanical musical fury! Girl + The Machine will be live on The Indie Machine this Thursday night. The band released their debut album ‘Hello Earth’ last year and are currently working on a brand new EP. You can catch them live @ El Mocambo on July 31st here in Toronto. Be sure to tune in this Thursday between 6 and 8pm for the interview and acoustic session on Fusion Radio. Girl And The Machine call Toronto home.
The band recently released their debut LP ‘Hello Earth’ through Aporia Records.
They describe their music as “electro-rock and experimental pop with an ethnic flavour of world music”.
Jackie the lead singer was born and raised in Malaysia.
They have played with the likes of CSS, Tokyo Police Club, Ohbijou, Ron Korb, and Ron Sexsmith.
Be sure to tune in March 11th to hear them live on The Indie Machine from 6-8pm.
