Digits – Hold It Close
by David on Nov.23, 2009, under News
When I heard the first track off Digits (aka Alt Altman) debut album I knew I was in for something special. Altman’s (Europe In Colour, The Ghost Is Dancing) “Hold It Close” is my kinda record. Stunning yet delicate electronic indie pop. His music has been compared to The Junior Boys and Hot Chip and his voice is eerily similar to one Erlend Oye (Kings Of Convenience). The album was self produced and recorded in his Toronto apartment and was released in October. It also features David Kates (Guitar) and Rebecca Applebaum (Vocals, Synths).
DIGITS WILL BE LIVE ON “THE INDIE MACHINE” NOVEMBER 26th TO TALK ABOUT THE NEW ALBUM “HOLD IT CLOSE”. YOU CAN CATCH HIM IN CONCERT NOVEMBER 28TH @ THE SILVER DOLLAR (486 SPADINA AVE, TORONTO) TICKETS ARE $5 AND DOORS OPEN AT 10:30PM. SEE BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS.
