Tracks: ILLITRY – Goshen

January 29, 2013

Last we spoke with Hamilton electro-rock troop ILLITRY’s Troy Witherow and Chester Edington, they had expanded from their duel frontman guitar/synths/vocals arrangement to a full quartet band – and man can they fill a room in that formation: both with bodies and full-bodied sound.

We’re happy to report the quartet are busy in the studio preparing their debut LP and are celebrating their album “coming like a train” (take that how you will) with the release of their first single off the as-yet-untitled effort: Goshen – see embed below.

It’s a little slower than we’re used to from ILLITRY, but it’s still just as synth-heavy and it fronts that constant driving force that we’ve come to know and love from the Hamiltonians – it’s also a PWYC DOWNLOAD, so hit them up with some love if you like what you hear (we know you will… unless of course your taste in music is questionable…)

The four-piece hit the road in support of the single tomorrow – with a stopover in Toronto at The Annex Live on Friday – with Ottawa art-rock outfit HIGH WATERS in tow (see dates below).

Upcoming Tour Dates:

01/30 – Ottawa, ON @ Cafe Dekcuf w/GRIME KINGS
01/31 – Kingston, ON @ The Artel w/ATRA AETERNA
02/01 – Toronto, ON @ The Annex Live w/SATURNS

03/19 – Toronto, ON @ The Rivoli
