It’s been almost two years to the date since Montreal’s STARS dropped their last studio album The Five Ghosts on the masses. Well… the wait is over for new music from the band as they announced today that The North will be released on September 4th via ATO Records.

The band is offering up the first single The Theory Of Relativity for free – you can download a copy at the “website” link above in exchange for your email address. The song is nothing new as far as STARS are concerned but that doesn’t mean we don’t like it – it’s hard not to like a track as infectious as this.
