iM Premiere: OPOPO – Exorcism

June 11, 2012

iM is pleased to announce the premiere of Exorcism – the first single off the upcoming (as-yet-untitled) 2012 LP release from Toronto electro-garage-rock duo OPOPO.

Those unfamiliar with the two-piece comprised of guitarist/vocalist Bryan Sutherland and drummer/vocalist Corey Poole need look no further for a good time, as the band’s numerous and spastically-energetic live performance range through appearances at NXNE, Virgin Fest, CMW, Pride, Roger’s Picnic and extend as far as Denmark’s SPOT Festival.

With their 2011 LP Light Work reaching #1 on !Earshot’s Electronic charts, the band once named for their electronic drum machine now pushes onward with their now illuminating and alchemically-justified moniker (Oxygen and Phosphorus) as they steer towards the summer release of their 2012 LP; if this first taste is any indication we’re all in for a serious dance-inducing treat when the LP drops later this summer – check it out in all its majesty below.

Stay tuned to iM – we’ll be updating you with more OPOPO release details very soon…
