Barrie ON, two-man-band INDIAN HANDCRAFTS have a reputation for a delivering a heavy dose of hard rock and a ridiculously energetic live show, so when the band announced a few months back that they’d signed with Sargent House for their upcoming debut full-length it probably wasn’t much of a surprise to anyone who’d been following them for a while.

Though we haven’t seen any official track releases yet, earlier this week the band dropped a teaser video for their upcoming LP Civil Disobedience For Losers, featuring what might turn out to be the lead single on the album: Terminal Horse.

The video incorporates footage from the band’s LA recording sessions at Entourage Studios and THE MELVINS’ rehearsal room, as well as live footage shot back in March at the band’s stopover at the Sargent House SXSW 2012 showcase. The album itself was recorded and mixed by Toshi Kasai (THE MELVINS, BIG BUSINESS, RED SPAROWES, TOOL), with special drum appearances from both Dale and Coady of THE MELVINS, and is tentatively set for release in late 2012.

It doesn’t seem like the twosome will be back in the GTA for NXNE 2012 next week (as they’re out on Canadian tour in the west at the moment), though they will be back in Toronto in time for Edgefest in July (see dates below) before sticking around home in Barrie for a few shows in August.

Upcoming Tour Dates:

06/18 – Winnipeg @ Park Theatre
06/19 – Saskatoon @ Amigo’s Cantina
06/20 – Calgary @ The HiFi Club
06/21 – Calgary @ Ship & Anchor
06/22 – Calgary @ The HiFi Club
07/14 – Toronto @ Downsview Park (Edgefest 2012)
07/19 – Barrie @ Kenzington
08/04 – Barrie @ Kempenfest
08/06 – Barrie @ Centennial Park
