Tracks: MICHAEL RAULT – I Want To Love You

Website / Facebook / Twitter / Label
iM last caught up with Edmonton-bred/Toronto-based singer-songwriter MICHAEL RAULT during CMW in March, and though we’ve seen his name pop up on a few bills since then it seems he’s been busy working on the follow-up to his 2010 release MA-ME-O.
As such, earlier this week RAULT concurrently dropped I Want To Love You, the first single off his upcoming Whirlpool EP out later this summer via Pirates Blend – as well as the official video for the track, directed by Mike Mclaughlin and produced by Blake McWilliam.
The video isn’t anything complex – simply a performance video, really – but it nicely compliments the lo-fi audio and the 60s-throwback style rock-and-roll of the track with a fittingly black-and-white weathered video – you can check out both track and video below.
It doesn’t seem as though RAULT has any serious tour dates coming up – we’re assuming he’s probably busy prepping a release – though he’ll be popping by for a night in Winnipeg at Times Changed High & Lonesome Club on June 22.
