Band Watch: FADE CHROMATIC

Website / Facebook / Twitter / YouTube
Toronto pop-rock quartet FADE CHROMATIC hit the scene in early 2011 and haven’t really shown any signs of slowing down; with a certain panache for writing pop hooks, a much-praised energetic live show, and now the upcoming July 6th release of their debut self-titled EP.
In mid/late-summer 2011 the band sought out producer Damon De Szegheo (Bruce Cockburn, The Ruby Coast) and Justin Helle at Oak Recording Studios to help craft the sound on their debut, and the final polish definitely shows.
For complete journalistic transparency’s sake, yes FC drummer Shawn Burgess is indeed a member of iM (what can we say, we back our own), but between the multi-part vocal harmonies and the band’s four-to-the-floor pop-rock sensibility, ultimately FADE CHROMATIC are really just a lot of fun.
In case you still need convincing, check out Waiting For The Edge: the lead single off their impending debut in the embed below. The official release show goes down July 6th at The Annex Live with iM – more details to come soon!
