Toronto electro-rock quartet OLD ENGLISH have probably gone through more band names then any artist you’ll ever encounter: MATT HENDERSON & THE MOUTHBREATHERS, FARM TEAM, SIGNIFICANT OTHERS, GOLDEN BOYS… the list goes on.

Regardless of what their current incarnation is called by the time you read this, one thing is certain about Matt Henderson and crew: as one of our favourite acts in the past year of The iM, these guys deliver in every possible facet of musicianship – recorded, live, or otherwise.

With their debut LP due out later this year, the band professes that their goal in songwriting is for their songs to ‘pull at your heart strings and rattle your bones”. We’re not sure if they’ll have that effect on everyone, but they’ll definitely move you in some regard – check out a little teaser snippet for Saturday’s show at The Velvet Underground in the player below.
