We had the pleasure of catching just a snippet of Ottawa electro-rock trio FIRE AND NEON during a fall 2011 Rancho Relaxo outing, and it’s no wonder these guys were on the final stretch for the LIVE 88.5 Big Money Shot this past year: they’re all sorts of awesome.

With keyboardist Phillip Konopka, guitarist David Wijsman, and drummer Andrew Hunt all jumping in on vocals alongside their infectious melodies, the trio have a solid debut EP under the belts and don’t show any signs of slowing down – their latest single Kerosene (written for the Big Money Shot competition) which you can stream in the player below may even be a testament to the fire the fuels their continuance forward.

Feel free to reenact the “Scotty’s on fire” scene from Austin Powers if you feel it necessary…
