ICYMI: TRIPLE ARCADE – S/T EP

Last week, Shawn and I ran into Zack Wojtala from Newmarket pop-rock quartet TRIPLE ARCADE after a sweat-filled bill alongside THE ELWINS and BRANDON BARRACLOUGH at Rancho Relaxo – and oddly enough it actually turned out to be the official release party for their debut EP.
TRIPLE ARCADE put out some pretty catchy pop-hook-filled material, and while the four-piece consisting of Wojtala, Ben Uden, Brendan Graham, and Alex Tizzard are newcomers to the Toronto music scene, they’re sure to carve out a place for themselves soon enough.
Back in January the four-piece released their debut self-titled effort, which was recorded/mixed/mastered by Eugene Burda at Create Music (apparently he’s also the piano trainer for the Newmarket kid who played Billy Elliot last summer).
Wojtala was kind enough to reach out the following day as a safeguard in case we’d forgotten about him in our somewhat drunken stupour forgetfulness.
Check out their debut effort in the embed below – it’s super catchy… and how often do you hear prominent metalophone in songs? [HINT: like, never]
