Video: THE JILTED LOVERS CLUB – Army Of Daughters

Toronto pop-rock quartet THE JILTED LOVERS CLUB have been on our radar for some time now – and for good reason: they’re bringing back some great Gwen Stefani/Blondie-style female front-woman flair to the pop-rock genre.

The four-piece recently had a video release party for single “Army of Daughters” off their 2011 debut Hope You Are Well.

Directed by Toronto filmmaker/Gemini award-winner Alvin Campana, and featuring the makeup artistry of MAC makeup artist Glen Daniel, the video sees lead singer Nikki gradually gussied-up by Daniel in one continuous take until mid-way through when the three guys in the band are quickly shaved and also drag-ged into the action – check it out in the embed below.

In other news, JLC are currently in the studio tracking for their second EP due out this summer, and are gearing up for a gig with WAX MANNEQUIN at The Piston on March 15th with new drummer David Sufrin.
