WOW…. That’s really all I can vocalize about last Friday’s showcase at the El Mocambo.

With a roster this talented it’s a good thing there were a slew of other big shows going on around town that night, or you wouldn’t have an excuse for me as to why you weren’t in attendance… and that would make me very… angry…. you wouldn’t like me when I’m angry….

In all seriousness though, Toronto’s resident musical architects AutoManic opened the night with a set of eerie-pop tunes to ease everyone into the evening – and that stuff was infectious. Toronto sure-to-be indie rock supergroup Del Bel hit the stage in the second slot for their very first hometown show, and it was no surprise that the crowd ate up everything that was thrown their way.
Hamiltonian long-time iM friends The Rest hit the stage third to showcase some fan faves and new tunes from their upcoming release “Seesaw”. Finally R&B Soul-pop troop Mamabolo rounded off the evening with a funky set of tunes that would leave you dancing right down to the Asian restaurant a couple blocks south for a bite after the show…. or at least that’s what I did.

Check out these great artists at the links below, and hit up the photos for a peak of what you can expect the next time you catch them live.
